The Enduring Impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ABCs) Wednesday, May 7, 2025
6:30pm-8:00pm

The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study proved what those of us who work with children already knew: maltreatment is damaging to children. This groundbreaking research revealed that ACEs are far more prevalent and have far more damaging consequences we ever imaged. In this workshop, we will explore the long-term implications of ACEs on emotional and physical health to help us heal and prevent ACEs in our homes, workplaces, and communities.

In this session, participants will learn:
1. The ten most common types of childhood adversity

2. The emotional and physical health outcomes associated with adverse experiences

3. The influence of community and environmental experiences on development

4. What we can do to prevent and heal from ACEs
