THRC has partnered up with Carla Ward, an experienced Early Childhood Educator and the visionary founder of Early Learning Foundations, a business dedicated to promoting education and elevating the profession of Early Childhood Education. “Onboarding and Setting Up Your New Hire for Success” is an interactive session designed to equip childcare supervisors and leaders with the tools, strategies, and insights necessary to create an effective onboarding experience. We will explore the significance of a well-structured onboarding process and its impact on staff retention, engagement, and overall organizational success. Leaders will learn how to create a comprehensive onboarding plan tailored to their childcare center’s unique needs and discover strategies to introduce new hires to the centre’s mission, values, policies, and procedures. We will explore methods to foster a welcoming environment that encourages relationship-building among team members, promoting a sense of belonging and teamwork from day one and learn how to communicate expectations, roles, and responsibilities effectively to new hires, aligning their goals with the center’s objectives for a harmonious work environment. Participants will discover ongoing support strategies to nurture the professional development of new hires, ensuring their integration into the team and the childcare centre’s ethos.
