THRC has partnered up with Carla Ward, an experienced Early Childhood Educator and the visionary founder of Early Learning Foundations, a business dedicated to promoting education and elevating the profession of Early Childhood Education.

Dive into the ins and outs of the Early Childhood Education profession. This session is for new Early Childhood Educators, either starting out or a few years into their practice. Participants will learn what it means to be an ECE Professional using the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

We will look at the importance of creating meaningful relationships with families and their children and how to build those relationships through observation, documentation and reflective practices.

By the end of the session, educators will know:

  • What it means to be an Early Childhood Professional
  • How to use the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice as a guide to professionalism in the workplace
  • Strategies that support adult-child interactions that are aligned with pedagogy
  • Skills to confidently communicate with families

Intended Audience: Licensed Child Care Educators, School-Age Educators, EarlyON, Licensed Home Child Care Providers/Home Visitor, Resource Consultants, Supervisors, Managers, Owners, Operators, Support Staff
