“Can early childhood teachers be serious in their playful practice or is play at odds with our work?” Seriously Playful Teachers: An Intentional Approach He Kupu – The Word Welcome to an Introduction to Playfulness, the first in our Playfulness Series where we invite you to the spaces surrounding play. You are invited to slow down, examine what it means and feels like to be playful, why it matters and how you cultivate it in your life and work. Being Playful is like having a seed which grows to look different for each person. Our hope is that this is a beginning of examining your culture of Playfulness, an intimate and personal gardening relationship deeply connected to the heart of play. Participants can attend the follow up session, Playfulness Series One: Loose Parts or attend sessions as a stand alone. Facilitated by: Shannon Speer, Professional Learning Consultant
Intended Audience: Licensed Child Care Educators, School-Age Educators, EarlyON Educators, Licensed Home Child Care Providers/Home Visitor, Supervisors, Managers, Owners, Operators, Support Staff, School Board Educators For the health and comfort of everyone, please help to achieve a scent reduced environment and avoid the use of scented products.
