In this session participants will have the opportunity to learn about common challenges and delays with the developments of typical language and communication and how these can contribute to interfering behaviour in the classroom. Participants will review different proactive strategies that can be used classroom wide as well as explore more individualized supports that may be offered to students of all abilities. Additionally, strategies to promote and support general self regulation skills will be reviewed. Facilitated by: Shiri Bartman, M.A., C. Psych., BCBA, RBA (Ont. Shiri Bartman is a Psychologist and registered Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She has worked with children and young adults diagnosed with autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, learning disabilities and behavioural challenges for almost 30 years. |
