This is the minimum course required to achieve compliance under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, WSIB Ontario & the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014.
The Standard First Aid with CPR-C course combines adult, child and infant CPR along with the recognition and treatment of medical emergencies and traumatic injuries. Modules include shock, bleeding and wound care, burns, head and spinal management along with diabetic emergencies, seizures, asthma and allergic reactions; shock, bleeding, burns, diabetic emergencies, seizures, asthma and allergic reactions & Epi-Pen use. Course provides the steps for relief of choking for adult, children and infants. Includes hands on component for use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). First Aid topics for bone and joint injuries, head/spinal injuries, heat/cold injuries, poisons, bites, stings and eye injuries. Attendance at both dates are required for completion. Lunch will not be provided, so please feel free to bring your own.
