We’re looking for someone with the following qualifications:
A Degree/Diploma in Early Childhood Education or related field or experience is required.Standard First aid/CPR level C is required. We are looking for someone who has at least two years’ experience working with diverse children and families. The successful candidate should have experience with a variety of teaching techniques including modeling, active listening, and observing, questioning, demonstrating and supporting children. Experience supporting newcomer families with their transition to parenting in Canada or having been a
newcomer is an asset. A second language is an asset.

Every day, you’ll encourage purposeful play and build relationships with families by:

  • Creating warm, welcoming interactions that protect the health, safety, belonging and wellbeing of children.
  • Creating a safe and inclusive environment that supports families and children of diverse
    backgrounds and lived experiences
  • Creating an atmosphere which is inclusive of individual learning styles, interests, and
    celebrates the authentic identities of the children and their families
  • Providing support and resources for newcomer families to facilitate settlement into their new
    Community.
  •  Developing and implementing an emergent curriculum applying core concepts of a Reggio
    inspired philosophy.
  • Maintain accurate daily record keeping of screening, attendance sheets, daily log books,
    accident reports  and illness reports, medical forms, administration of medication forms,
    emergency procedures and actions and display in classroom as appropriate
  •  Co-facilitate indoor/outdoor EarlyON programs at all locations, as well as virtual
    programming.
