DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nUnderstanding and Managing Arousal Regulation\, Big Emoti
 ons\, and Behaviour in Young Children \nWednesday\, March 5\, 2025\n\n\n6
 :30pm-8:00pm\n\n\nThis workshop will focus on the various factors that cau
 se dysregulation\, which often lead to big emotions and unexpected behavio
 urs. Participants will learn methods for assessing the source of dysregula
 tion and the underlying emotions that drive challenging behaviours. Partic
 ipants will also explore tools and co-regulation strategies to help childr
 en manage their level of physiological arousal\, their emotions and the ex
 pression of their emotions through more regulated and socially connected a
 ctions. \n\nSpecific topics that will be covered include:\n\n 	The neuros
 cience behind dysregulation.\n 	The 6 threat responses.\n 	The 8 sensory s
 ystems with emphasis on interoception.\n 	The purpose of emotions: what ar
 e our emotions communicating to us and others?\n 	The purpose of behaviour
 .\n 	Emotion focused behaviour guidance tools.\n 	Regulating tools used by
  occupational therapists for childcare and classroom settings.\n 	Effectiv
 e co-regulation strategies (regulation through relationships).\n\nFacilita
