Time Spent in Nature: Are There Unique Health Benefits? Recent research efforts have investigated the impacts of regular time spent in nature on human health outcomes. There is strong evidence that spending time in nature provides a wide variety of both physical and mental health benefits. This interactive session will: consider nature as a positive health intervention; present a summary of research findings currently being provided to physicians as an accredited Continuing Medical Education credit as a partnership between Ontario’s Back to Nature Network and the Ontario College of Family Physicians; and provoke discussion on the necessity of including outdoor time in natural space every day for children in early years education.
