\nSusan will kick off this 3 part workshop series by introducing the core\
nunderpinnings of Shanker Self-Reg®\, including the difference between st
 ress\nbehaviour and misbehaviour\, how deterministic/self-control thinking
can introduce\nmore stress\, the importance of co-regulation and relation
ships and the 5 Practicesof Self-Reg:\n1. Read and reframe behaviour\n2. R
 ecognize stressors across the 5 domains: biological\, emotion\, cognitive\
 ,\nsocial &amp\; prosocial\n3. Reduce the stress load\n4. Reflect - calm\,
  listening\, embodied awareness\, reflection (CLEAR)\n5. Restore energy\,
relationships\, focus &amp\; hope\n\nCome see why we truly believe that th

 ly\, you see a different child.\nSession 2: ECEs On the Self-Reg Learning
Journey\nWherever you are on your Self-Reg learning journey\, there is alw
ays something we can do to support and improve the lives of the children i
n our care. In this session Susan will explore with examples\, tools and s
trategies the different Self-Reg early childhood learning journeys that ma
ny of us are on and speak to practical steps that we can take today to inc
orporate Self-Reg into our early childhood centers. The Self-Reg journeys
are:\n1. Seeds - shifting from managing to understanding behaviour\n2.  S
unrise - reframing “readiness” for learning in the early years and exp
 loring\nlearning environments\n3. Quilt - how Self-Reg supports quality pe
dagogy in the early years and\nexploring play-based learning and inquiry\n
Session 3: Nurturing Self-Reg Havens\nA Haven is not only a place. Havens
are nurtured through our actions\, through\npeople\, our relationships and
the spaces held between. In a Haven\, everyone feels safe in every way: p
 hysically\, neuroceptively\, emotionally\, socially and culturally. In a H
aven\, Self-Reg frames all and where values come before action plans. The
safety and relationships found in a Haven unlock the child’s potential a
nd learning can occur. In the final session\, Susan will take a deep dive
into applied Self-Reg and how we nurture a Haven\, the final Self-Reg lear
ning journey\, using the WIRED acronym:\n\nWellness\nInclusion\nResilience
