|School Age Professional Learning Day||October 13, 2017
|“All About Me” is often a phrase coined for getting to know children and families who are a part of our school age community, but what if you were also curious about getting to know you? Knowing yourself is powerful; it provides insight and perspective on the impact we each have as we engage in relationships and live out actions in those relationships. Are you curious to understand yourself as an educator and explore how it impacts your relationships with the school age children you work with? Through facilitated inquiry, we will explore these ideas together with the school age educator community.
Creating and cultivating an engaging and inspiring place for children by putting relationships first. The story of how building relationships can result in enthusiastic and loyal staff and parent advocates, and how holding the door can lead to growing community engagement.
Kiron is the public face of the Royal Ontario Museum’s family and children’s programs. He directs the ROM’s long running camp programs, staff recruitment, growth and retention, develops curriculum, and community engagement.
