Reading Emotions: Examining Critical Questions About Children’s Emotional Literacy December 12, 2018
6:30pm – 8:00pm
Halton Region’s Early Learning Specialist is gathering input from early childhood educators on critical questions such as: What is emotional literacy? How does children’s ability to express emotions affect their ability to regulate emotions? How does emotional literacy in children intersect with mental wellness and behaviour? Educators are encouraged to bring their observations that relate to children’s experiences with “emotional” stories, to share their favourite “emotional” books, and to examine the power of songs, storytelling and read aloud to support children’s emotional well being.
