 n\n\n\nTHRC is pleased to have back Janet Nezon the founder of Rainbow Pla
 te. Janet has a BSc in Nutritional Science\, a Master’s degree in Health
  Promotion and a long career as an educator.\nHow we feed children is just
  as important as what we feed them.\nHelping children cultivate a relaxed 
 and positive relationship with food and eating makes mealtimes less stress
 ful for everyone. Children who are comfortable at the table are much more 
 likely to try\, eat and ENJOY a variety of foods. Early childhood is the i
 deal time to help children establish food preferences and eating behaviour
 s that will last throughout adulthood.\nThis informal\, interactive sessio
 n will support adults in making this happen for the children in their care
 . Participants will learn the principles behind a proven approach and simp
 le\, practical strategies for making mealtimes more comfortable for everyo
 ne at the table. This presentation incorporates the foundational principle
 s of How Does Learning Happen (2014)\, recognizing that children\, familie
 s\, and educators are all competent and capable\, curious\, and rich in ex
 perience.\nParticipants will leave this session with:\n• A clear picture
  of what “healthy eating” looks like for young children.\n• A simple
 \, powerful strategy for supporting children to become more relaxed and\nc
 omfortable around food.\n• Confidence in understanding what not to worry
  about when it comes to feeding\nyoung children.\n• An understanding of 
 how adult language and behaviour around food impacts\nchildren.\n• Pract
 ical tips for preventing and managing common challenges at mealtimes.\n•
  Strategies for handling picky eaters.\n• Simple tips for minimizing str
