 xpressive Language\nThursday\, October 17\, 2024\n\n\n6:00pm-8:30pm\n\n\n\
 nTHRC is thrilled to have Kerry's Place\, back in Halton. Canada's largest
  service providers to families with children\, adolescents\, and adults\, 
 with Autism Spectrum Disorder.\nThis 2 ½-hour workshop will provide paren
 ts\, caregivers and professionals with information about communication dif
 ferences in persons with Autism\, and explore ways communication is receiv
 ed and expressed through spoken language\, augmentative communication syst
 ems\, gestures\, and visual supports.\nAs a result of participating in thi
 s workshop\, participants will be able to:\n\n 	define receptive and expre
 ssive communication\n 	describe the difference between receptive and expre
 ssive communication\n 	identify strategies for improving functional commun
 ication\n 	describe the importance of collaborating with a Speech Language
