Connecting with Nature through Loose Parts Play | June 3, 2015 6:30pm – 8:00pm |
|
How do you incorporate loose parts into your program? The ‘loose parts’ theory is about remembering that the best play comes from things that allow children to play in many different ways and on many different levels. The play environment needs to promote and support imaginative play though open, creative expression which occurs naturally when loose parts are placed in the environments. Using loose parts allows children to develop their own ideas and explore the world around them through self-directed play. During this workshop participants will gain ideas in which loose parts could be used in various areas of the classroom. | ||
